Our story
Vibrant started Be The Good Foundation to focus and grow our efforts to build and sustain thriving communities across Illinois and Iowa. Be The Good Foundation contributes both funding and volunteer manpower in projects and programs that increase financial literacy, help kids develop skills that will make them successful in their future careers, and create better, safer, and, well, more vibrant places for our friends and neighbors to work and live.

We prioritize giving to organizations whose work helps as many people as possible, regardless of religious or political affiliation or socioeconomic background.

The philosophy that guides Be The Good Foundation reaches back to Vibrant’s earliest days as a credit union, which was founded with the goal of providing working people with financial resources when few banks were willing to help them. Now, Be the Good Foundation seeks to partner with organizations with an emphasis on serving as many people as possible, regardless of religious or political affiliation or socioeconomic background. That includes youth sports leagues, fraternal organizations, educational programs, and other civic groups.
