If you received a statement from us, it’s because of your loan—and it’s legitimate.

Yes, you're a Vibrant member

Vibrant Credit Union funds loans like yours that are originated through companies like Golf Acceptance, Anchored Direct/Automatic, and Loan Depot.

Because we’re a credit union, that process includes opening a membership savings account in your name. We put $5 in it to get you started.

That account is real. Which means we’re required to send statements—even if you’ve never touched it.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Vibrant Credit Union?

We’re the credit union that funded your loan.

You won't need to interact with us for servicing that loan, but we’re the reason the loan was able to be funded in the first place.

Totally fair question. And no—this isn’t fraud.

That account was opened when your loan was finalized. It was part of your paperwork (easy to miss, we know). Because it’s a real account, we’re required to send statements. That’s all this is.

The company you worked with handled the loan experience and services the loan today. Vibrant provided the funding behind it.

Because we're a credit union, funding the loan also made you a member here. That's why you have an account with us.

The statement you received is for your membership account—not your loan—which is why the loan doesn't appear on it.

It is. Not a test account, not a placeholder—a real savings account in your name at Vibrant.

That’s your membership share.

We fund it on your behalf to establish your membership. It’s a standard credit union requirement—just handled for you.

Nope.

You can ignore it completely if you want. But if you ever decide you’d like to bank somewhere that tends to win awards for rates… you’ve already got a foot in the door.

Award-winning. Again.

You're banking with the best

The Wall Street Journal’s Buy Side named Vibrant “Best for Deposit Rates” in 2025. In 2026, they came back and added “Best Credit Union” to the list.

Turns out, consistently great rates, no hoops, and nationwide, digital access tends to get noticed.

You’re already a member—might as well know what comes with it

No obligation, no pressure.

But your membership gives you access to:

  • Fully digital banking, nationwide

Use it, or don’t. It’s there either way.

Review your Member Service Agreement with Vibrant and our Rates & Service Charges. If you have not made a deposit to your Vibrant account within 90 days of your loan closing, your account may be designated inactive and closed.
